The 1990's brought about a whole new level of fitness programs, including water aerobics, spin classes, and most notably the martial art styled programs of Tae Bo, Cardio Kick, Kickercise and more. Why did many of the programs fail despite great marketing ? Lack of genuineness.
While many began under the guidance of traing martial artists, they fell further and further from their roots as new instructors replaced others and posessed the skills to run the class, but often lacked the depth of knowledge in genuine martial arts, and the programs fell flat.
At Apex - F.I.T. was the brain child of Master Instructor McLaughlin when it was decided that what people were wanting was a martial arts program with a fitness focus not a fitness class with a martial arts flavor. However unlike other programs, these programs are the personal and intimate creations of each of their instructors all of who have extensive backgrounds in martial arts and devotion to personal development.
F.I.T. Females - is a women only class which presently meets on Thursday mornings and is head by Tammy Lewsey. Tammy is a mother of two and has 5 years of training in the martial arts, is an avid runner and devoted to her training and her students.
Fast F.I.T. - the focus here as you might have guessed is speed and agility. Lead by Jon Meinzer a 7 year veteran of the martial arts and and avid fitness devotee, Jon teaches his class to acheive a quickness they never thought posssible.
F.I.T. Power (Power Hour) - Power - different from strength is that power is useful and effective strength. Randy Bennett leads this class in a workout that has to be experienced to be believed. Randy has 9 years training in the martial arts and is a personal trainer.
